Understanding Our Payment Terms

One of the first questions affiliates always ask their account manager is "when do I get paid?"

As explained on this FAQ Page, we offer Weekly Net 7, Monthly Net 7, Monthly Net 15, and Monthly Net 30 payment terms. Sometimes the response we get to this explanation goes something like this:

I understand what "weekly" and "monthly" mean, but what do you mean by "Net 7" or "Net 15"?

"Weekly" and "Monthly" refer to the payment frequency - in other words, it refers to how often we make payments (every week or every month). For weekly payments, the first day of the billing week is always Monday. For monthly payments, it is always the 1st of the month.

Net 7, Net 15, and Net 30, refer to the delay between the end of a billing period and the payment due date.

For example, lets say your payment terms are Weekly Net 7, and you begin to earn commissions on July 1, which happens to be a Monday:

Weekly Net 7 payment terms would have payment for the week of July 1st - 7th (highlighted in yellow, below) go out on July 15 (highlighted in green - 7 days after the end of the week being paid for).

Monthly Net 7 payment terms would have all of the commissions generated in the entire month of July (highlighted in yellow) paid out on August 7 (highlighted in green - 7 days after the end of the month being paid for):

Likewise, Monthly Net 15 payment terms would have all of the commissions generated in July, paid out on August 15 (15 days after the end of the month being paid for), while Monthly Net 30 would have payments sent out on August 30.
